    About the Opportunity

    DCG is looking for a full-time Project Coordinator based in Victoria, BC. We are looking for a passionate and detail orientated candidate to fill our Project Coordinator position on a contractual basis for 1 year with the potential for extension.

    Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the full lifecycle of construction projects while working closely with internal teams, site supervisors, and project leadership to ensure successful outcomes.

    In this position, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating project planning, execution, and close-out while maintaining strong communication with the project team and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    More specifically, your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Prepare and supervise all the needed documents properly throughout the project life cycle: Create/submit/archive/record all submittals, RFI’s, EWO’s, LOI’s, Award Letters, Subcontract Agreements, CO’s, CCN’s, SI’s, FR’s, CD’s, etc.
    • New project start-up and close-out procedures
    • Maintain monthly billing summaries for Project Managers
    • Participate in project hand-overs
    • Complete pre-qualification and tender documents with Estimators’ assistance
    • Track and update RTO calendar for payroll
    • Organize team building activities
    • Maintain overall office organization, physical and digitally
    • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Safety Coordinator to provide an ensure all safety needs are met
    • Coordinate all non-safety related training
    • Misc. tasks as required by Project Managers and senior staff

    About You

    To qualify, you will need a high school diploma along with a minimum of 1 year of construction experience

    Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

    • 1 year minimum of construction experience as a project coordinator
    • Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building material and required standards
    • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
    • Excellent organization skills
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe (Microsoft Project is an asset)
